This product is specifically designed for use on the mini lathe tailstock.

The 2 Morse taper is the correct length for the lathes listed below. Don't buy this product for other lathes as it won't eject from the tailstock when you retract the quill.This kit includes a stub arbor that does not need to be cut off.

We have two lathe starter kits. One starter kit (PN 1261) has 5/16 tool bits which are the correct size for 7x10, 7x12, and 7x14 mini lathes. This kit includes a 2MT short arbor which gives you full use of the tailstock stroke on the mini lathe.

The other starter kit (PN 1796) has 3/8" tool bits which work for most other small lathes. This kit includes a standard 2MT arbor which works in most lathes with a 2MT tailstock taper.
