This useful tool allows for center punching of various round stock, as well as ball ended items or spherical work pieces.
Made of hardened steel (48-52 HRC), this punch easily locates and allows center punching on stock up to 35mm (1 3/8").
The overall length is 3 9/64" and it has a 3/8" shank.
Chris' Tips-
Choose a Bell Punch Center Finder that matches the diameter of the round bar you are working with. -
Ensure the round bar is clean and free of burrs or imperfections. -
Align the center of the finder with the center of the round bar. The interior diameter of bell should make full 360-degree contact with round stock. -
Press the center punch down on the round bar to create a hole at the center. -
Verify that the hole is centered before proceeding with your machining operation.
