This is a semi-machined adapter plate. The side that attaches to the lathe flange is fully machined. The side on which the lathe chuck mounts is not finished. This 3 inch 3-Jaw self-centering lathe chuck is the one that comes on the mini lathe. It includes a chuck key and inside and outside jaws. This three jaw chuck has a 0.63" (16 mm) through hole. It holds work up to 2.48" (63 mm) in diameter. The radial runout of a test bar held in this chuck, when the chuck is mounted true, is 0.003" maximum.

This 3 inch 3-Jaw front mount lathe chuck includes a chuck key, inside and outside jaws, and three M6 mounting bolts. The chuck has an inside diameter gripping range (outside jaws) of 24-64 mm, and an outside diameter gripping range (inside jaws) of 2-70 mm. Front mount chucks are designed to be used with rotary tables and other devices where back mounting chucks cannot be used. Easily mount on table, dividing head, fixture, or indexer. This is a plain back chuck and requires a backplate adapter to mount it on a lathe.

Harlingen 3 inch 3-jaw self-centering lathe chuck. The Harlingen chucks have similar specifications to our other lathe chucks in terms of clamping range however they have a better runout and the material construction of the chuck is better. The runout of these chucks is rated at ≤ 0.002" vs ≤ 0.003" for other chucks in this class. The chuck body is made of wear-resistant cast iron with a higher hardness than similarly made lathe chucks. The cover plate, scroll plate and pinions are all constructed of higher quality steels for added strength and resistance to wear. The jaws are made of 1045 hardened carbon steel and manufactured for precise fit and clamping performance. Each chuck has in individual serial number and inspection report.
